This stay was the best one of my trip in Indonesia. Not only the house is well located and good maintained but the host Irwan was the best company. He took me snorkelling, we saw many sea animals and different islands. Also, we fished and ate it in the night together. The people of the island are very friendly and I felt 100% safe as a solo female traveller. I will come back <3

The staff were super friendly and very welcoming. Nothing was enough trouble - we were able to book our taxi for the harbour with the lovely driver on site. This is our first time in Bali and the distance to this hotel from the airport and then to the harbour was over two hours. For the hosting - cleanliness of rooms and friendly staff we would rate this a ten out of ten.

As a surfer I stayed at Bebaleq as I wanted to surf Desert Point. It was a brilliant decision. The host Jhon is one of the nicest people ever and in my opinion is a huge part of why you should stay at this property. The room itself is a simple but beautiful raised room/bathroom combo situated in the middle of a field near Jhon's house, which is about a 15 min scooter ride from Desert point (the actual distance is not very far however the roads between the two locations are terrible as anyone who has been to Desert Point will know). Being slightly removed from Desert Point can be seen as a good thing (or a bad thing, depending on your opinion). Personally I found it a positive as the residence is very quiet, with no noise and I enjoyed the fact I was staying in a local village. Also you are still exceptionally close to a protected beautiful beach (it is just this beach doesn't have surf). In particular a highlight I would like to mention was Jhon going out of his way to help cart my surfboards to desert point in the early hours of the morning without expecting any payment for such a service. He truly is a brilliant host and this seemed representative of all the people I met in the village who were exceptionally friendly. Also as a note there are local cattle on the property, they are very chill/quiet but will sometimes rest underneath the house (personally I thought this was an added bonus).

We loved everything about it. The villa itself was incredibly luxurious with all the luxuries one would expect from a 5 start resort (massive infinity pool, large bedrooms with equally large bathrooms and outdoor showers, a huge lounge and dining area, etc.) but with the added bonus of being the only villa on the hill on the peninsula side which makes it feel very remote with no other guests, which made it ideal to relax and wind down. We also enjoyed being pampered by the onsite staff who were always friendly and attentive - we got quite badly sunburned after a whole day of snorkelling and the staff prepared freshly cut aloe vera on ice which was a lifesaver and they kept ensuring there was plenty of it for the remainder of our stay. They also put in a lot of effort to decorate our dining table with flowers and candles each night, it's these sorts of touches that we really appreciated and made us feel very pampered - best of all, we had them all to ourselves. Gili Gede itself is a great location - it is not packed with people (at least not when were were there end of April), it feels quite remote and a little primitive - no retail shops, just a few tiny 'warungs' and a handful of small hotels and villas dotted around the island.
