We had a great stay at the villas for 3 nights. The staff: Naresh, Numa, Kumari, Pavitra, Tila were very attentive, courteous and polite. They treated us like family and catered to every request we had. Pools were always clean and they would clean it again upon our request. They made great homely food and took great care of us. Our kids had a great time with the adults and the kids at the property alike. We will stay here again and would like to recommend this place to all those visiting South Goa.

I feel very lucky to have found Villa Barbosa. The host, Reuben, is outstanding. One of those hosts who were born to do the job. Every guest is the beneficiary of a warm welcome and an irrepressible desire to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The accommodation is in an annexe to the colonial family home, a property that several generations of the family have occupied for close to 400 years. It is a beautiful property housed in its own gated garden & grounds, many old colonial features are well preserved. A bottomless supply of filtered water is available on every floor, each room has a/c, tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge. Some rooms have a view of the gardens/road and some a view of an internal courtyard. Bed linen and towels are regularly changed, rooms regularly cleaned. There is plenty of parking space in the courtyard. The property is only 5-10 minutes walk from good local restaurants and a sedate 10-15 minute walk along countryside roads to the wide, empty, sandy Sernabatim beach with beach huts for refreshments and free (just buy a drink/food) sun loungers. Great location. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and cannot praise Reuben highly enough for his friendly, efficient hospitality.

The ultimate villa for a perfect holiday. The house is home away from home. The host/owner Mr. Joseph is an excellent and extremely friendly host and has taken care of every minute detail a guest might need. The house if fully equipped.A well thought and well planned house. It gives you the feel of a country life style but close to all the necessities. There is a care taker who is at your beck and call. There is a restaurant menu in the house with a large variety of Indian cuisine and also Goan cuisine. Moreover swiggy and zomato also supply at this location. There is a grocery store just a 1 minute walk from the house and has all your personal requirements and more. Carmona beach is just a 5 minutes ride away. My family and I would love to stay here everytime we come to Goa for a holiday.

I recently stayed at Peaceful Guest House and had an absolutely wonderful experience! The place truly lives up to its name—calm, serene, and perfectly maintained. The environment is very relaxing, making it ideal for a peaceful getaway. The villa offers ample space and is equipped with all basic amenities, including fresh towels, soap, hot and cold water, and fully air-conditioned rooms, ensuring a comfortable stay. The guest house is one of the best in South Goa, especially for those looking for a budget-friendly yet high-quality option. What truly stood out was the home owner—very helpful, communicative, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. The food options (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) were also excellent, with great taste and generous portions. Overall, I absolutely loved the place and would highly recommend Peaceful Guest House to anyone visiting South Goa. It’s a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and value for money!

Everything was perfect, except the bed. Nice balcony, screened windows to allow air inside the room. Quiet ceiling fan. Good shower with lots of hot water and pressure. Toilet flushes great. Great desk to edit my videos for DougP Vlogs on YouTube.

    The rooms were okay , too small for a family.we were given 2 rooms at the back .In the other room there was no inverter backup .we had an okay experience at villa Barbosa.will not come Back again

    A lovely gated community of villas which is a better alternative for a group of 6 or more members. The service from the staff, the facilities and access to rest of South Goa is excellent. We had a vehicle at our disposal which made travelling a lot easier.
