The room is an antique Japanese room with renovation. Really awesome with all traditional decorations. Very comforatble and impressive. The host is nice and explain how to use the device in the house. He opens a BBQ chicken restaurant nearby, you need to go there to get the key. Food in restaurant is also awesome! Really relaxing place. But becareful when you arrive after 6pm as the part of the way to the house is really dark without street light. Better prepare torch.

The private, unobstructed view of the Torii gate itself is worth booking this place for. But on top of that, it’s a spacious, beautiful traditional Japanese house. Sanae was so lovely and we loved the time we spent at this house. It's HUGE compared to any other accommodation we stayed at in Japan and it felt so nice having a place to ourselves to call 'home' for the short time we were here for the Hongu Loop hike. It was a perfect place to start the hike and we easily made the loop within 7-ish hours and a lunch break inbetween. It's not far from two bus stops which take you to and from the main train stations that got us back to Osaka.

The location was a little bit far from the Nakahechi pilgrimage trail but pretty location overlooking the river. Beautiful property, very clean and has all the kitchen equipment you need to cook up a storm. They even left a travel cutlery set for each guests to keep. Beds were a little small for those that are taller but everything else was great.
