Amazing location! Was in a quiet area but just around the corner were a ton of restaurants and it was not far to central Kagoshima. The beds were super comfortable and it had a massive bathroom with a washing machine included. Was definitely large enough to fit our family of five.

The accomodation was amazing and truly deserving of the term "yashiki". The building itself is quite old and feels very traditional with great woodwork. Since it used to be a restaurant, there is a huge kitchen, perfect for hobby cooks who want to feel like a professional chefs. The view of the lighted garden at night is magical. The owner is very friendly and went out of his way to help us, way beyond common courtesy. He lives next door with his family, so he is very available if there are problems or questions. The area around the lodging is a nice compromise between countryside and city - there are supermarkets, restaurants and an Onsen nearby, but at the same time there are farms all around and nature sights like a stunning waterfall within walking distance.
