The building was very well designed it was a historical site. We liked the area it was in which was very beautiful. The staff was quick to reply to us and it have all the amenities one needed. The guide with it was very helpful when exploring Johana. We had booked to go to Shirokawa-Go but Johana was much better and the accommodation exceeded our expectations.

This place is absolutely stunning! Beautiful decoration and screens, lovely garden to look onto, and a cozy bathtub. The host was extremely helpful and picked us up at the station. The location is fantastic. If you would like to enjoy a truly Japanese stay -- book this immediately!

The house used to be the house of a Samurai, the interior of the house still remained in its traditional form. The property is close to the Kanazawa station, with a lot of restaurants / Izakaya in close proximity. The host was amazing and gave us a tour and introduction to his ancestor who was a Samurai. It was a great experience overall.

The host, Michio, was very friendly and picked us up from Kanazawa Station on the first day. He gave us some pointers and recommendations on the area, which was appreciated. The house itself is great, beautifully renovated with the authentic structure still in place. Last but not least the location could not be more convenient, as it's located about 15mins walk away from major tourist attractions such as Kenrokuen gardens and Higashi Chaya district. Recommended!
