It's a traditional Japanese home, with futons and a great choice of records. On top of that, there is a piano. A little untuned, but otherwise alright. This was my first time sleeping on a futon, but it was really comfy. The entire house was really near and clean, and had a very retro appearance which made it feel lived in. The location is perfect, close to Odawara Station and a convenience store is just around the corner.

The apartment is very well situated, 10 minutes walk (the final part quite steep) from Hakone-Yumoto station. The hosts are friendly and welcoming and the apartment is spacious and very well equipped. We enjoyed 2 delicious dinners and a lovely breakfast. The setting is lovely- with great views out towards the surrounding hills.

Moon Hakone was one of my favourite places on my travels throughout Japan. Just far enough out of the city to feel in utter bliss. The sauna and tub are a great way to start the day along with the camp fire on a still evening. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and the hosts are very communicative and helpful. 4ppl stayed with 2 kids 11, 14. The beds were just right, pillows perfect, lots of space, indoor + outdoor onsen, pool + pool toys, 2 bathrooms, very clean. Excellent cooking facilities. Highly recommended 👌 steep 18min walk to get here, but worth it. Very tranquil. Very comfortable. Can't rate it high enough.

Well appointed villa with good quality furnishings and plenty of space. Though in a quiet part of town, it was a short walk to the centre of Hakone. There were a couple of nice, local restaurants within 2-3 minutes walk.
