Everything in this modern little apartment has been well thought out. It is cozy like its name, yet totally comfortable and functional with everything you need, and city views. There is a cooktop, oven, and microwave in the kitchen, plus toaster, kettle and coffee pod machine. A dining table, stools and two soft chairs complete it. The bedroom has plenty of cupboard space, a comfortable double bed and an armchair. The bathroom is fully tiled and has great water pressure. It's walking distance to all of Elvas - tourist sites, shops, bars and cafes, plus all of the narrow windy old town streets. The owner is friendly, polite and helpful, in contact if you need anything.

It was a great experience for me and for my family. You basically live within a farm, there are a lot of animals, a beautiful garden and they are friendly to humans. The stuff were very nice friendly and helpful at any situation, overall great experience.

Location: out of the walls of Elvas, but close to the historic center, about 15 min walk to the castle thru the St. Vincente gate (Google Maps do not see this gate and lead you around much longer way – do not rely on Google unless you want to see half of the walls from outside). Very good place if travel by car – close to the historic center and no problem with a parking, We recommend the Taberna do Largo restaurant, about 4 min walk. We ate there twice, good Portuguese food at good prices (menu only in Portuguese). Hotel: There are three houses/apartments in a row, centrally located at the farm. The owner lives in a separate building near the gate. Our home consists of 3 bedrooms, living room, well equipped kitchen and bathroom. All bedrooms equipped with electric heaters and the home was warm when we arrived (it was cold outside). Room: large, enough place for luggage; electric sockets: if you count there are many, however scattered over all home, not very convenient to charge simultaneously your phone, camera and computer; lighting: good. Bed: large and comfortable. Bathroom: large, enough place for your toiletries, warm (electric heater), large shower cabin. Breakfast: do it yourself. The kitchen is well equipped and the host offers fresh oranges as a bonus. WiFi: very good. Staff: very good contact. We arrived later than planned and there was no problem with check-n after hours. Parking: free, inside the farm.

If you are looking 4 star luxury then this place isn't for you, but if you want a self catering clean and comfortable little apartment at a reasonable price this is it. The apartment is around 4km from Elvas town center, with car parking at the apartment. There is a supermarket nearby. The apartment is perfect, clean, and new, it has good air conditioning and plenty of car park. The owner is very nice and I would just say it's a 5 stars just for this but what has something of incredible is the little village in which is situated. It is marvelous, I found myself in the middle of a true bull race, their summer fests last a week, and it is just astonishing, here time stopped and you can experience something priceless. I will be back for sure.

It has been one of our best holidays all around Portugal in the past 1.5years. The warm welcome by the owner Donna Vera and jumped into help when we had a car problem. Breakfast was spectacular with Donna Manuela delivery to the door with warm bread and cake and much more! Loves it! It is a place to recharge and read books and enjoy a nature walk. Take a boat to row down the river and back. It is a place to unwind from all screens including mobile calls. It is a proper de-stress place! The swimming pool! the quality of water! Jacuzzi with the trees around. Oh oh don't forget to lie down on the outside beds to count stars. The moinho we stayed was renovated with great details and lots of care. A jacuzzi inside as well? How cool is that! Top notch! We did not have time to check TV or make phone calls. Just enjoy all these water activities keep us busy and happy. Many thanks again take care until next time!
