Perfectly renovated old teacher's house in a small village. Very clean. We only spent one night, but there are facilities available, which definitely allow for a longer stay, i.e. outdoor terrace with barbeque.

A rustic two storey stone cottage in a great location beside river in centre of town, but would have been difficult to find if Andreia hadn't supplied a video of how to get there. Liked the glass covered rock which makes up the rear of the lounge room. Very comfortable and all appliances supplied.

We had a fantastic stay at Em Xisto - Casas de Montanha - Casa Xisto Nascente. From the moment we arrived, our host made us feel incredibly welcome with her kindness and support. She greeted us with a lovely basket of treats, and the fridge was stocked for a delightful breakfast, which was such a thoughtful touch. The house itself was warm and inviting, providing a cozy escape. The bed deserves a special mention—it was honestly the best bed we’ve ever slept in, surpassing even those at many five-star hotels. The village around the house is quiet and charming, perfect for a peaceful getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was spotting deer at night, thanks to our gracious host, and feeding an adorable fox that visited us daily. These moments made our stay truly memorable and unique. If you’re looking for a relaxing retreat in nature with a personal touch, I couldn’t recommend this place more. Thank you to our host for making this a weekend to remember!

Hidden gem, lovely view and traditional feeling in the village. Perfect place to do some hikes in the villages around. The communication through booking was in Portugese, but was very kind and flexible!

The house was in a great location for us as it was 5 minutes away from relatives in a neighbouring village. The house was also the perfect size for 7 of us with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms along with a cute living room, dining room, kitchen area and an amazing patio space where we had breakfast in the morning and drinks in the afternoon. The view from our bedroom window and from the patio was spectacular and the little village we were in was really cute to walk around with cobblestone streets and old buildings, alleys and stairways and more amazing views. The welcome basket of wine, crackers and jams was much appreciated and enjoyed after our long drive.
