Spacious, warm with both heaters and logburner fire plus electric blankets, beautiful rustic SA decor, plenty of bathroom facilities and towels. Great selection of condiments and comfy central lounge area. Loved that we only had to light the already set up fireplace. Plenty of wood to burn. Owner talked us through the lighting process. Plenty of plugs and Great pod coffee.

The cottage has everything we needed,very clean and cozy. We also loved the games provided,we did get bored when we were indoors because of the bad weather...in overall,there's nothing that to be changed...it is a 10 out 10 minus nothing

Location is perfect very close to a lot of attractions. The home is self catering with cutlery and crockery. The neighborhood is quite and safe. The pictures don't do the home justice it's better in person.

Hosts Francis and Barney were very welcoming and went over and beyond to make our stay pleasant and we felt very at home in their guesthouse. Breakfast was delicious. Would recommend De Ark to anyone visiting Lydenburg.

the view is amazing. the house was much more beautiful than shown on the site. the caretaker is warm and very helpful. the kids absolutely loved the place and enjoyed the stay. i loved that it is equidistant from all the nice attractions
