Alain is the perfect host, with the perfect property for a stay of any duration - short or long. Property is a 3 minute walk to the Cloth Hall and obviously all the bars and restaurants are in very close proximity. The location could not be any better, really. Parking immediately outside has a max stay of 3 hours from 9am-6pm Monday to Saturday, but there is plenty of parking within a very short walk if you plan to leave your car in the city and go exploring. Le Chat Noir is a beautiful old former antiques shop. Inside you will find lots of relics from the Great War and various Police hats and helmets from a whole range of forces. Lovely well equipped and comfortable lounge and a very good kitchen with all you could need during your stay. Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms spread across two floors - we always find them to be perfectly quiet and comfortable and spotlessly clean - also has excellent central heating if the weather is as unkind as it was for us on our last trip. This was our second stay here, and we will be back. Excellent communication from Alain during the entire process and he's a lovely gentleman, too.

The kitchen had everything we needed. And the location was excellent. We were a 3 minute walk away from the Menin Gates and the market square. I stayed there with 6 adults and there was plenty of space for us all.
