Set in Hanga Roa, Cabañas Moai is 200 metres from Hanga Roa Anthropological Museum. Tahai is 500 metres from the property. Free private parking is available on site. René is honestly such a great host. He greeted us at the airport with a really warm welcome and offered airport shuttle. He also gave us super solid tips on guides and car rentals, anything you’d need on the island. The place itself is really nice. You get your own little cabin and the decor feels really cozy. I absolutely loved the balcony, it’s the perfect spot to just hang out and chill. I didn’t even notice there was a hammock, wish I’d tried it. I’d definitely recommend renting a car if you stay here. The place is super close to Tahai for sunset and there’s a shortcut that gets you there in just a few minutes, but having a car makes getting to restaurants and the town area way easier. Make sure to bring your own toiletries. And don’t skip the guavas in the yard, they were so good. I’d totally recommend this place to my friends.

We booked on very short notice, we got picked up at the airport and after our stay got dropped off again at the airport. The house is very big and has room for 4 people with a full kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. It is only 10 - 15 min walk to the center or the museum. It is very quiet, we enjoyed our stay very much and would stay there again next time.

The place was comfortable, and it was nice having a kitchen to use if we needed it. Jackie was excellent with communicating and a great guide as well. She picked us up and dropped us off at the beginning and end of our trip, and drive us around to the sites and explained everything. She was very helpful when we had an issue with our trip and had to change the dates and times.

The house is pretty big and comfortable. Esther and her are an amazing hosts and treated us like family. The best place if you want to get an authentic experience in the island. 100% recommended.

This rental represents an excellent value for families traveling on a budget. The location is central and close to many restaurants and grocery stores. There is air conditioning in the bedrooms, and there are two bathrooms (a huge perk for families). It’s not a fancy home, but it’s decorated tastefully with Polynesian flair. A nice bonus: beautiful garden with benches and tables to relax. The owners are super friendly and accommodating. My whole family loved staying here!
