I spent a long time looking for the right stay around Minca, and I’m really glad I chose La Casa Del Mono. Our stay was fantastic - beautiful, charming, and surprisingly mosquito-free thanks to the well-designed mosquito nets all around the house. We did see a few tiny ants, but nothing out of the ordinary and definitely not bothersome. The location is excellent: close to hiking trails, restaurants, and Minca itself. It’s easy to access (not on some difficult off-road path!), yet still feels private, peaceful, and cozy. We heard some distant music one evening, but it didn’t last long. The real soundtrack was the monkeys in the morning -once we even saw them walking through the trees nearby! The host was super friendly, helpful, and very communicative. A solid 5-star stay.

The appartment comes with a full equipped kitchen with everything you need and also has a water filter. In addition the shower has hot water! 😁 On top of that we got two cold kombuchas (the real ones, not the ones you buy in the supermarket in Europe) in the fridge on arrival which tasted amazing 😍

This was one of the most amazing vacation experiences of my entire life. The property is incredibly beautiful. It is very secluded so you can just experience nature at it's best. The house is fantastic. It has hot water for the shower!!! That is a clincher for me. The host was more than helpful and gave me so much information I couldn't remember it all. The waterfall near the property is enchanting. I can imagine living here and writing the great american novel. This is one of those places where those things happen. LOL

It was the highlight of our trip. The accommodation was beautifully maintained and we woke to the sound of jungle birds every morning. The views from the deck and hot tub were unmatched, it was the perfect place to unwind and be in nature. It was really easy to access the property, we initially took a moto up to the property, but it was also really easy to access walking up the road. Theo was immensely helpful, giving us local recommendations of things to do in the area and the breakfast every morning was also delicious. 10/10 recommend staying here if you’re planning a trip to minca.
