Host was super responsive, and the property was absolutely amazing. So much to do! The cabin was comfortable and easy to access. We saw the northern lights so easily! During the day we tried snowshoeing, watched the dogsleds, cross country skiing, built a fire, end explored the grounds. I wish we had brought sausages to bbq because the bbq house was so cute! We even rented the sauna for an hour for a turn to get warm and jump in the frozen lake I was skeptical at first when the host told us about it but it was a lot of fun and we jumped in 3-4 times. My kids would have loved this and we are plotting a trip back with families.

Even in the cold weather, it warms up well and is very cozy. Amazingly, I was able to use the hot tub even in -35°C. Everything was perfectly clean, and the host was very communicative and friendly. She took us on a number of fantastic excursions, including a home-cooked Sámi dinner, snowmobiling, and ice fishing, and she is very knowledgable about Sámi culture. She made sure we had all the proper gear for staying warm and took good care of us. The cabin is only a few feet from a lake and also a short walk away from a resort where you can get meals. In the winter, the frozen lake is a perfect spot for viewing aurora. The drive to get there from Ivalo is also very beautiful. If you are willing to drive a little, there are some nice villages and museums in the area as well. I would definitely come back. Thank you, Teija, for a wonderful stay.

The cottage is in a pristine and peaceful location, right next to the lake and forest. In room sauna is a wonderful plus alongside with the great surroundings. The owner is very kind, we arrived Rovaniemi on Sat and then just found out the public bus runs only on weekdays, the owner is so kind to give us a ride on the tour bus that he is managing that day. Great thanks to him.
