Gemma left coffee and milk and a pound cake - a thoughtful touch. We did stop at a Tesco for dinner and breakfast items. We found everything we needed in the kitchen. The cottage has some nice views as well.

The house is spotless—brand new and beautifully equipped with everything a family could possibly need, turning it into a true home away from home. Although we ran into some issues with the reservation and the ferries, the hostess was incredibly attentive and helped us tremendously, which we deeply appreciate since we were traveling with children. Thanks to her support, we were able to sort everything out and fully enjoy our time on the island. Highly recommended!

EVERYTHING! Greeted by Capt. Murdo, we were immediately made to feel at home. Everything we thought we needed was already here. And the location couldn’t be beat. We looked out the front window and saw Doune Broch just steps from our door. We didn’t climb it once we climbed it twice because it was just so breathtaking. The black houses, alpacas, the standing stones, everything was just around the corner. It was brilliant. I have to say it’s the only vacation stay I’ve ever had where I was truly sad to leave. Being from America , this is the other side of the world and it’s a side I wish I could stay on. Thank you to Captain Murdo and for anyone considering staying on the Island of Lewis, if you’re lucky enough to find this available, grab it you’ll never be happier with any place you’ve ever stayed. Plus, there is a great gift shop a block down where Angus has some great gifts from the area at super prices.
