We originally had booked another hotel on Gili Air, but after one night decided to change due to noise from construction and rusty water filling the bath. Ari and his team welcomed us and had our villa ready within 30 minutes of booking. When staying on remote islands with limited infrastructure, I have found you typically have to temper expectations just a little, but this was not the case at Lasai. We were in villa 1, an absolutely beautiful room with cold AC, sparkling pool, soft and comfortable mattress, and plenty of hot water for a nice relaxing bath. The photos on the website don’t do it justice! Very well insulated so you can’t hear the Muslim prayers at 0400, and light blocking shades ensured a restful sleep. Daily breakfast was served in the villa and a filtered water cooler made our stay extra comfortable, and the mini bar had great wine and other soft drinks. No request was too much trouble and they always replied quickly via WhatsApp. Another review mentioned the ‘delicate’ robes. I wore the robe daily, it was SO comfy and soft, and very well made. This place will forever be our go-to on Gili Air!

The room was great, the location was peaceful, and the young guys offering their personal scooters and helping us find places to go was fantastic. It has been the best part of my travels in Indonesia so far.

Toni and his wife are the best hosts, friendly and very accommodating, they have true, humble and a lot of passion for looking after the villas and guests. The daily breakfast has lots of variety, fresh and delivered to the villa at a time you want. We booked the bicycle hire, sunset cruise and floating breakfast with Toni, highly recommended and you are unlikely to find it cheaper. I find it rare that the images of a hotel are the reality, however, you can trust that the images and the actual reality at these villas.

Comprising a private beach area and a garden, Seaside Cottage, Gili Air is a recently renovated accommodation in Gili Air located close to Gili Air Beach. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is situated 6.5 km from Bangsal Harbour. This was the best little get away we have had in our 10 years together, it was perfect! It was a beautiful romantic stay for us, something about the salt air, the sand between your toes and a glass of wine with your loved one as you look at to the ocean that is hard to put in to words. We will be recommending this amazing cottage to all our friends and we hope to return again in the next 12 months.
