Here you can see the Ikat weaving process, beautiful Marapu traditions and architecture and general village life. Eddy, the host has a lot of knowledge he can share because he grew up there. The room has views over the horce racing track. It’s very clean and comfortable.

The owners are incredibly kind and love their dogs (and puppies!) - dog lovers will feel right at home here. There’s no AC, but the cool nights made it perfectly comfortable. The Wi-Fi runs on Starlink, so the connection was strong. And the food… absolutely amazing - probably the best we had in all of Sumba! Don’t miss their famous lobster soup!

The property is non-smoking and is located 1.4 km from Rua Beach. We really enjoyed our stay at Morika Villa. The view here is absolutely spectacular, especially during sunrise! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with large bathrooms and a shared kitchen. What stood out most was the staff. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, always happy to assist with anything like renting a bike or organizing tours. The food at the restaurant was also good, with a variety of dishes to choose from.

We love Asia and spend every year a month or more in the region. We found Three Queens exceptional for three reasons: First the location on the amazing and basically empty Rua Beach in beautiful Sumba. Second our hosts Lidya and Brad together with their three daughters and extended family pampered us throughout our stay with food and advice. Third, the four villas in traditional Sumba style are not only very beautiful, but also furbished and decorated with style and every detail is thought through.
