The kitchen was functional, WiFi worked perfectly and the washing machine was a plus! The beds were comfortable and we had some very good night sleep being surrounded just by nature. The staff is available if needed. The view of mount Aso is amazing. It's located in a little wood area surrounded by fields, 10 min drive from the nearest Onsen Town (recommend trying one of the public ones for sure!). We would love to stay here again!

If you want to have a break from the big cities in your Japan roadtrip Soils is the perfect place. You can go to a real cute market place where everything is from the farms around, such a nice moment. The owners were nice and careful. From our arrival to the departure they were here to take care of us if we needed anything. Thank you very much for your time and kindness.

The rooms are amazing and exactly as shown on the images; beautiful design, clean and offering the necessary amenities. The views are breathtaking!

At Cottage Morinokokage, guests can rent out a cottage with a hammock. Free WiFi is available in the guest rooms. Our stay at this beautiful home on Yakushima was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed and cared for. The host, Mr. Ryosaku, went above and beyond to make our visit special—everything was thoughtfully prepared and full of heart. The house was spotless, cozy, and filled with little touches that made it feel like home. Communication was easy and professional throughout, and the overall atmosphere was incredibly warm and sincere. Yakushima is now forever in our hearts, and we hope to return one day. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience!
