Situated 19 km from Sekibutsu Kanzan Jittoku Statue, 21 km from Otsumago and 27 km from Magome Observatory, Minshuku Suhara offers accommodation located in Okuwa. The Magome Wakihonjin Museum is within 28 km of the holiday home. The property is non-smoking and is set 19 km from Kotoku-ji Temple. It's not every day you find yourself staying in a property that's featured on local tourism signs, but this is one. I loved it. If you want the experience of staying in a true Edo place... stay here. The bathroom and kitchen have been updated (the wooden bathroom smells amazing). There are modern toilets. But the rest is original Edo style. It's a great place to use as a base for a roadtrip around the Kiso River Valley. You just feel like you're in another time. I absolutely loved it, and would stay here again.

Dancru Netz hotel is less than a 10-minute drive from Hakuba Happo One Ski Resort and the Hakuba Saegusa Museum. Hakuba Station is 12 minutes away by car, and the Hakuba 47 Mountain Sports Park can be found less than a 30-minute drive away. The owners were extremely sweet. There was a language barrier but they were patient and very helpful. The ryokan was extremely clean and well-maintained. I loved the German theme throughout the entire place. I also loved how the shower room was a private room, even though it was technically shared. The rooms were spacious and it was convenient to have a sink inside the room.
