The host is very responsive, replying messages promptly and she speaks very good English so we have zero issues for checking-in ! Alya the host completed the dual pilgrimage and I guess from there she understand the need of travellers. We love the place, feel like home after our long hours of hiking journey. The place is very very clean, bonus is they provide the laundry & drying machines, and provided some snacks for us to eat those are very sweet gestures.

Offering a garden and mountain view, KUMANOYASAI Cottage in Chikatsuyu is set in Tanabe, 28 km from Kamitonda Concert Hall and 30 km from Hosshinmon Oji Shrine. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The property is non-smoking and is located 600 metres from Kumanokodo Nakahechi Museum of Art. We stayed one night in connection with hiking the Kumano-Kodo trail. The house was both large and cozy and equipped with everything we needed. Shino is such a kind and helpful host. We also requested breakfast, lunch and dinner, and everything was delicious. Overall a wonderful experience, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
