We loved the staff, how beautiful the space was, the grounds, the view - just everything! Chef was particularly awesome, every meal blew our socks off.

Situated in Hikkaduwa, Villa Saffron Hikkaduwa offers seafront accommodation 2.2 km from Hikkaduwa Coral Reef and provides facilities like an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a terrace. The villa is stunningly beautiful on a quiet end of the beach but still a very easy walk to bars and restaurants. The pool is the perfect temperate and we used it a lot. It’s accessible off the main road but it’s set back so you don’t hear it, we never noticed it. The decor of the villa is beautiful and tasteful, the rooms are comfortable and the AC and fan above the bed work really well. The bathroom is huge and I loved the open shower. We had the room on the ground floor leading out to the pool which was lovely and light. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Villa many times and never had a bad meal. Everything was delicious, fresh and well presented. On the last night we requested a seafood platter and it was the tastiest lobster and king prawns we have ever eaten! The chef is amazing and we loved every meal. They are all accommodating and happy to make the meals at a time to suit you which was great. The staff are amazing, friendly and warm and constantly cleaning the place, it was spotless. Sunil (the manager) is fantastic, we have travelled a lot and stayed at some high-end resorts but Sunil’s skills and touch in customer service is exemplary and it’s clear his team flourishes under his management. Sunil even recommended a restaurant in Colombo and made us a reservation as well as organising a great guide and driver. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back to Villa Saffron, we’re already planning a trip back with friends and family. It’s a slice of heaven!

The place was absolutely stunning - but the stuff made our stay the best! Thanks to Chaminde e Nushan. The cuisine was so tasty, we barley left the villa.

Villa White Queen Resort & Spa is a modern 2-storey property offering rooms with garden views. Guests enjoy free Wi-Fi in its common areas and free parking is available. Certainly best hotel I stayed in Sri Lanka. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The place is very quite - this is what I was looking for. Great noise isolation, clean and spacious rooms. Excellent breakfast.

Adjacent to Unawatuna Beach, Sergent House is set in a boutique villa showcasing colonial architecture and originating in the 1800's. A beautiful hotel in an old building. Interesting details. Amazing staff and location. There were always about 5 people in the hotel, but it was always quiet and comfortable. I definitely recommend
