Bicycles are available for rent, while traditional Sri Lankan breakfast is served upon request at an extra cost. Villa Shade is a hidden gem! The property was beautiful with lovely tropical gardens and comfortable rooms (with a fabulous outdoor bathroom). Shiraj was a lovely host who cares deeply about the property and his guests. They have created a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere and even grow an all organic garden on the property! All of the staff was helpful and hospitable during our stay and accommodated a very early morning checkout time- we wished we had more nights to spend at this hotel.

He regularly called to check in and make sure everything was going smoothly, which we really appreciated. His care and attention, even from a distance, made us feel well taken care of.
