Staff were very attentive and kind. One of the places I’ve felt the most comfortable staying in Sri Lanka. I would recommend staying here to anyone visiting hiriketiya. Property is a few minutes walk from popular restaurants and a 15 min walk from hiriketiya beach making it quiet and peaceful for you to rest. If ever, you can also relax on the lounge chairs and your private pool. Overall, 10/10 and would stay here again.

Home from home! Ruwan and his family couldn’t have made us feel more welcome to their lovely Homestay. Nothing was too much trouble. The room had a very comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The shower was powerful and in the heat a welcome relief. Our room was on the small side but this wasn’t a problem as the outside space had a hammock, table and chairs. Breakfast was served daily by Ruwan and his lovely daughter. It was fresh and plentiful and always delivered with a big smile. The air conditioning in the room wasn’t great and took some getting used to. Ruwan did kindly offer to change our room but we declined as we didn’t want to inconvenience him with another room to clean. However it is only fair to share this information. We stayed 4 Nights with Ruwan and his family and everyday he checked on our welfare, if we needed anything or a ride anywhere. He organised a wonderful Whale watching trip for us, one we would recommend, as a must when in this area. Ruwan kindly cooked us a delicious Sri Lanka. Fish supper despite his wife only day’s earlier giving birth to their son. On New Years Day the family invited us for breakfast in their home. The food was plentiful, delicious and a reflection of this family’s kindness and willingness to share their hospitality with us. I urge Anyone in this area to visit Ruwan and his family if wanting an authentic experience. Ruwan, thank you , we will be back. You are in our hearts forever. Xox

We had a truly wonderful stay at Three Gable’s Boutique in Sri Lanka. The rooms are excellent with breathtaking views, and the pool is perfectly tempered for relaxation. The food was outstanding, we enjoyed dinner there every evening because it was so delicious, and one night we were treated to an authentic Sri Lankan dinner that was unforgettable. A very special thank you to Suresh and to Sanuka, who was also incredibly kind, attentive, and dedicated. The whole team goes above and beyond to create a calm, peaceful atmosphere that makes you feel like part of the family. We tried to think of something we didn’t like, but honestly, there wasn’t anything, it was simply perfect.

Located in Mirissa in the Matara District Region, 3.7 km from Whale Watching Mirissa, Ubuntu by Lantern boasts an outdoor pool, barbecue and sun terrace. One of the best hotel stays we’ve had! The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfasts were definitely the best we had during our time in Sri Lanka. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We also want to highlight Malith - he was always around, super friendly, and helped us with any questions we had during our stay. He even printed out activity and sightseeing options near the hotel, which was really thoughtful. The food at the restaurant isn’t cheap, but everything we ordered was delicious - especially the tuna steak. The portion was so big it could easily feed two people!

The location is simply stunning – peaceful, beautiful, and perfectly situated. The villa itself is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, thoughtfully designed and spotlessly clean. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the hospitality. The host and her lovely family went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Every morning they prepared a delicious homemade breakfast, and they made sure we were never short of anything. If you’re looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and heartwarming place to stay – this is it. We can’t recommend it enough!
