It appears to have been refurbished (as least parts of it) but it is still a cosy traditional norwegian cottage by the mountains. The view from the house is incredible with the fjords. And if you're looking for a place to spot northern lights, this is the place to be. As it is outside of town (~25min by car), there are not many lights in the surrounding, so we could literally see the northern lights from the windows, from the balcony, and if you want a spot that is 100% dark, its just walking west for five minutes. I strongly recommend this place!
