While not actually in Guimaraes we used Uber (Bolt also available) to get to the town for just 5 Euros each way, which gave us a welcome break from driving. Although on quite a busy road, inside the apartment was peaceful and quiet. The host was easy to communicate with and excellent in answering any questions we had. All in all this was a very good place to stay.

The shower was super hot and powerful. Everything felt brand new. There was a lovely pool, garden, bbq facilities and washing machine. The area is beautiful and we enjoyed seeing Braga and the local sites. We were on motorcycles and the ride to and from Carvalho was delightful.
