That said, Ryan (owner) was 1) accessible, 2) reasonable around our request for a day-before refund (he couldn’t offer a refund (understandable), but offered to re-post the property at a discount to see if we could recover a portion of our money); 3) sympathetic around the resort difficulties (he allowed for a late checkout when on Sunday, when the resort was delayed an hour in opening due to a power outage. Ultimately, we decided to go and make the best of it. Ryan even effectively bought us dinner one night, given the various problems created by the cold. Can’t beat the location.
