It was very clean and tidy and the staff professional and friendly. The beer garden was lovely and the meals very good value. The hotel in itself had an old world charm which was quite inviting.

Restaurant, Cafe , Bar left unlocked all night, locked it up ourselves.
Stayed for 6 nights rooms did not get serviced once. Bins overflowing. Contract workers thought it was closed to the public for the renovations they were completing. Only saw staff once out the window for a second before they disappeared before I could meet them and request some basic needs.
Ghost town!

Shopping is good, however the parking in the Main Street was terrible. Cars parked over lines taking up 2 spots, main travelling a very slow pace just is case someone might be moving out and they can get a car park, this then causes traffic jams with cars lined up for 2 blocks, And being caught over intersections when lights change.
Sport complex (hockey fields) amazing, was a great place to see, such a pity other towns don’t have similar complexes.

Just passed through and stayed overnight would have liked to stay longer to view more of the area.
When on the lookout excellent view with a lovely sunny day and blue sky and, a nice cool breeze, this lookout had some picnic tables available with walking trails maybe next time.
Enjoyed the Saturday markets while we were there, interesting from locally made products to homemade cakes etc.
Don't forget to drop into the Big Golden Guitar information centre the staff were friendly and helpful we also picked up a board game of Tamworth Monopoly, which you can only get here, why not we don't have this exclusive limited edition $30.00 bargain.

As we visit Tamworth annually to play darts, we mostly see the inside of the club where the tournament is held. The town is very quaint and it's a really country and western town. Tamworth has some nice parks and walking tracks which are great.
Nice restaurants are situated in the town and its great to be able to sit a look at the people passing by

The only good thing to come out of Tamworth is any road leading away! The one good thing is the Dragon Palace restaurant. It's very good that's why it's busy. What has happened to the motels? We were booked at
Tamworth Lodge Motel which we couldn't stay at, it's filthy! Then we went to the Town and Country Motor Inn and the pillows smelled of sweat. Hungry Jacks gets a serve for failing to do there job too.

Tamworth calls itself the Country Music Capital of Australia...
Tamworth calls itself the Country Music Capital of Australia, this is backed up by the Australian Country Music Hall Of Fame, and the Big Golden Guitar monument/motel. One thing about the Hall of Fame is it does close at 4.00pm, and as I have never arrived in Tamworth before this time, I truthfully cannot say very much about it. It's still on my bucket list.
It's a beautiful city, nestled in the Great Dividing Range at a height of about 500 meters, so it does get a bit chilly in winter, (Armidale, 100k+ to the North of Tamworth has been known to get snow when the weather gets very cold) so take extra woollies in the winter if you go then.
Excellent Value for price with Continental Breakfast included- great rooms, plenty of space. Management is exceptional, friendly and obliging. Makes you feel very welcome. You can stay in other high class motels and not get the personal attention that can make all the difference. Although it is on a busy road there is no noise that disturbs ones sleep. Highly recommend and definitely will be going back and recommending to family, friends and business friends. Thanks for two (2) great stays
The property is ideally situated adjacent to business park, Longyard Hotel and Tamworth Entertainment center and Equestrian center. The rear of the building abuts to the golf course with the balcony having unobstructed views overlooking the course. Staff were super friendly and helpful and treat you like a member of the family with nothing being too much trouble. You could not ask for better. We will be back!
Very safe and secure; coded keyless entry works perfectly. Very central to the centre of Tamworth, but far enough away to maintain the rural atmosphere.
I only stayed for 2 nights, however there is everything there for an extended self-contained stay.
Great location, beautiful property, lots wildlife & domestic animals, cottage was tastefully done and a real home away from home. Owners were friendly and supportive. A restful place to stay during a hectic visit to Tamworth.
Our stay in Econo Lodge Gateway Tamworth was exactly what we needed. A quiet room, clean, tidy, and close to the sporting arena we needed. Parking was provided, breakfast was perfect, customer service was excellent!
We have been here before on our travels from qld to nsw and what brought us back was the fabulous meals at the restaurant. The food did not disappoint again. And the bed was so comfortable.
Basic older motel unit. Bed comfortable. Room warmed before our arrival. Basic Breakfast included in price. Staff helpful in finding a takeaway food place who delivered.
We found this budget hotel was exactly what we expected. Very clean and fairly quiet. The complimentary breakfast was a bonus. We will stay again en route.
