Clean attractive facilities. Very nice main lodge building.
Jasper sits in a green valley within a national park surrounded by the majestic Canadian Rockies. Water in its various forms has shaped the dramatic scenery and continues to create serene landscapes.
Tree-lined Lake Beauvert is the closest to town, but Pyramid and Patricia lakes are more famous thanks to the rugged peaks perfectly reflected in their still waters. Arguably the best of all is Maligne Lake whose incredible water colour is eclipsed by small, pine-lined Spirit Island. You may not know the name, but you’ll probably recognise the view.
Many glaciers come off the huge Columbia Icefield, roughly midway between Jasper and Lake Louise. Some have cut canyons where you can go ice walking. Other winter sports include ice skating and skiing at the Marmot Basin resort, named after local animals.
Bears inhabit the surrounding forests and more wildlife lives at The Den at Whistler Inn, just one Jasper accommodation option on Booking.com alongside mountain lodges and pet-friendly hotels with pools.
The Jasper Tramway – Canada’s highest cable car – goes to the top of The Whistlers mountain, and on the slopes of another are the Miette Hot Springs open-air pool. The Jasper-Yellowhead Museum details the area’s history, and traditional Haida styles and colours are celebrated in the modern Two Brothers Totem Pole
Spectacular Jasper National Park offers you the opportunity...
Spectacular Jasper National Park offers you the opportunity to visit the Miette Hot Springs, Maligne Valley, Pyramid Lake Island, Mount Edith Cavell, the Icefields Parkway and of course wonderful shopping and dining experiences in the town of Jasper itself. The shop keepers are friendly and helpful and the town takes great pride in its appearance. There are some long travel distances between areas so it's best to check ahead to ensure the attractions you wish to see are open. Jasper is truly the crown jewel of the Canadian Rockies, hiding in plain sight!

Jasper is a cute and walkable little town.
Jasper is a cute and walkable little town. But note, it's little....a lot smaller than Canmore or the Banff towns. Places to stay are also limited in comparison. But the skiing at Marmot was top notch and not crowded at all especially when compared to Lake Louise, Norquay, or Sunshine.

I love Jasper. The mountains views are awe inspiring.
I love Jasper. The mountains views are awe inspiring. As many times as I see them, the mountains continue to amaze me. Jasper still has the local small town feeling that other mountain towns have lost over the years. Many businesses are run by the owners rather than franchises.

Unfortunately the ski season was a bit down this year.
Unfortunately the ski season was a bit down this year. After really cold temps the week before we arrive, they experience warmer than average temps when we were their and snow quality was not real good. We still made the most of our visit by enjoying this winter wonderland and the sites that Jasper provides

To put the review in context, we were only in Jasper for a couple of days prior to the Winter Season to catch The Canadian to Toronto. This meant many of the major sites were not yet available to access. However, while there, what we discovered was a lovely small town that is the focal point for travelling to the beautiful areas in the vicinity. The people are very friendly and helpful and there are also plenty of excellent places to eat and drink.
It is worth the visit.

It's easy to get around Jasper.
It's easy to get around Jasper. They have just recently provided long-term parking, which works for those driving their own vehicle to get on and return from the Jasper to Prince Rupert Via Rail train run (Sept. 2023). We picked up Starbucks drinks, ordered food from a variety of restaurants that were yummy. Gluten Free/Dairy Free options are available at a few restaurants; no desserts though, as per usual restaurant fare.
The Crimson Jasper is centrally located in the village of Jasper, Alberta where it is close to all the amenities a tourist will require. It contains a licensed restaurant which is very expensive and we declined to eat there after reviewing the dinner meal prices. Within a 7 minute walk from the hotel, we discovered several affordable restaurants and later on watched the NHL Stanley Cup hockey playoffs in the Jasper Brewing Company establishment with a few craft beers. Great atmosphere and would highly recommend it for the thirsty pallet.
A 2 star hotel charging prices and acting like a 5 star hotel. The staff was pretentious and trying to be "posh" like staying at the Jasper Park Lodge or Banff Springs hotel, yet the hotel is comprised of rustic old log buildings. Clean enough, but not fancy and nothing better than a hotel 6 on the highway. However the bungalows are located near the river, with picnic tables and away from the townsite. The dining room looks more like a cafe- without atmosphere as opposed to a comfy welcoming restaurant.
Location was amazing, only a ten minute walk to Sunwapta Falls which was beautiful, lots of other awesome places to visit within an hours drive up or down the Icefield road. The lodge cabin was basic, but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was OK, didn't go to the restaurant for dinner. There also was a lovely wee gift shop. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I would stay at this place again if I wanted to explore more of Jasper National Park.
The hotel is very well located at the heart of downtown Jasper, which means all the shops, grocery stores and information centre are just a few minutes away on foot. The staff are friendly and helpful and gave useful information during my stay. My room was quiet and clean and the bed was comfortable. Overall, I had a great stay at the hotel. I would say it is great value for money at a place like Jasper.
The view is absolutely spectacular. One of the best views out of most hotels and Jasper and Banff. It's an incredible, magical location. The main lodge has a gorgeous, chalet style area where you check in with a big old stone wood burning fireplace. There is a beautiful deck, overlooking the mountains and trees. Restaurant is delicious.
The beds were very comfortable, the rooms a good size and we especially liked the fact that it was a pet friendly hotel as we just bought a puppy over Christmas. The pool and hot tub were great and the front lobby very cozy. The trails in the back of the hotel were great for walks with the dog and kids.
Excellent spot! Hotel quality with the coziness of being in the neighborhood. Walk-able to everything in Jasper town. Lovely owner. They even had little shampoos, lots of fresh towels, everything! Such a cute spot and so much more reasonably priced!
Jasper is lovely and the hotel is an easy walk into the town and all it’s shops and eateries
Pleasantly decorated room
Indoor pool and jacuzzi nice
Front desk staff efficient and proactive
The hotel is really nice and looks like it was recently updated. Definitely not what I was expecting for this price point of the hotel. I will be coming back for my future travels to Alberta!
Very cute cabins with a great brewery nearby at walking distance. Loved the fireplace. Good location to explore Jasper National Park and nearby supermarkt and gas station.
We spent our honeymoon at this hotel 8 years ago and it was a pleasant experience. We came back to spend the New Year In Jasper and decided to book again in this hotel.
You get the mountain and the river view . Few rooms facing the river and it was amazing. There are many lakes closer to this hotel and jasper city is 4 minutes away.
Excellent location and friendly staff. The price is a little on the higher end, but otherwise, it is a good place to stay during a visit to Jasper National Park.
The room is nice and clean but the hotel is more of a motel. Definitely not worth the money for any other reason but the location (10 min from downtown jasper)
Location is great, walk to all the shops in Jasper. Parking is a little difficult we were able to get one at the hotel but its difficult to find in the town.
