Location is top. The old aesthetic is very beautiful. It looks like a home more than a hotel. The times we interacted with the staff they were friendly.

The guesthouse is outside a town and it felt as if we were staying on a farm. There are lots of walking trails. The food in the restaurant was very good!

Only truly interesting thing about the town of Triberg are the waterfalls. Other than that, the place has been spoiled by the overly touristy, quasi-Disneyland feel. The are much prettier and more interesting villages to visit in the Black Forest than this. On the other hand, it’s a good base if what you want to do is go hiking. Natural surroundings are great.

So many cool things to do and see in Triberg.
So many cool things to do and see in Triberg. We walked up to the main waterfall, strolled the main street, and bought a nice cookoo clock, designed and hand carved in shop. At night we parked on a back road under the stars and enjoyed no light pollution, taking in the amazing night sky view! Definitely recommend a visit to this Schwarzwald town!

The waterfall is worth the climb, and great that it's included in the guest card issued by the hotel. We also visited the Black Forest museum, which was interesting, although unfortunately our German wasn't good enough to read much of the information with the exhibits. The scenery is lovely.

The Black Forest is beautiful and Triberg is a charming town...
The Black Forest is beautiful and Triberg is a charming town, if maybe a little tourist-kitschy. There are not a lot of really good dining options -- Cafe Tresor is the only standout -- but there is a really nice grocery store, Edeka, right in the middle of town. The much-hyped waterfall is worth the short but steep hike. It's a good location to explore other towns and attractions.
The hotel is in an excellent location! We enjoyed our stay here very much. The breakfast was very large with a huge variety; it had something for everyone. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. All of the attractions are close by. The hotel also gives you a free attractions card that you can get into the waterfall and museum for free, a model railway museum, and a selfie museum. You can also use it to ride the busses for free.
This is a small hotel in the centre of Triberg, ideally suited to anyone visiting the town and particularly Germany's highest waterfall which is literally 5 minutes walk away.
The hotel and my room was very clean, and cleaned daily.
The breakfast was very good and filling!
It would make an ideal location for people walking in the district.
Absolutely stunning hotel. 115 years old and beautifully decorated. Lovely wooden features, amazing views and a carved cuckoo clock as old as the building. The staff were superb and the breakfast delicious. We were lucky enough to have a room with a balcony which overlooked the valley. Perfect quiet spot close to town.
Triberg is a very beautiful place. A guest card and public transport card were left for us at the entrance. With the guest card, you can enter many places for free or at a discount. I suggest you check out where this card offers discounts, it was out of date when I realized it :) Comfortable stay for 2 people.
The apartment is at a great location, very convenient to visit the nearby attractions. The owner was very friendly and obliging, offered us the Konus card (which saved us quite some cost for entry to waterfalls) and also pointed us towards free parking area nearby. Good value for money.
I loved that when we opened the window in our room we could hear the running water!! And we were treated to a sing-along to Black Forest folk music while at the restaurant! The food was wonderful and the staff was great! Wonderful and charming place to be.
the location was perfect. it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere but only 3 minutes away from Triberg. the room had so much charm. the trampoline and sand box where a favourite. my kids loved everything. we took beautiful hikes around the area.
Really lovely rooms, extremely clean, centrally located and a shortcut trail from hotel to wasserfalle. Really beautiful, close shops and restaurants. Nice cafe for breakfast and very accomodating for our famiy. Room 9 amazing view!
The location is unbeatable! Central to the snall town of Triberg, walking distance to everything, great parking options, and for those who are looking to save some money by cooking a few meals, Edeka is right across the street.
Great location and really helpful staff. Very cheap by today’s standards. The patio at the front of the hotel is great for a drink, a meal or watching the world go by. Would definitely stay there again.
Central to Triberg. Shops and restaurants nearby. Friendly staff. Just a short distance walk to the waterfalls. Free parking for guests. Loved the decorations. Showers and bathrooms were clean.
specious and clean rooms. Bathrooms super clean. Tower fan provided in the room. Tea/coffee kettle in room. Locker available in room. Parking facility near the hotel available against charges.
We wanted to experience the Black Forest and staying at Gasthaus Staude was the perfect rural location. Our room was spacious, clean and the food in the restaurant was great.
The host was polite. The view from the windows was amazing. Location of the place is in the center so waterfalls and other touristic attractions were near.
