Location is definitely one of the best assets of Can Pastilla, considering that it’s situated a 5-minute drive from Palma de Mallorca Airport and a 10-minute drive from Palma’s Old Town. Although today sun lovers populate its golden beaches and hotels, Can Pastilla was only a small fishing village 60 years ago, no more than a hamlet growing around the small church of San Antonio de la Playa. It is also fair to say that Can Pastilla is relatively calmer than other resorts in the area.

The hotel facilities are quite nice, including the outdoor and indoor pool, rooms, bar etc. The area is very quiet with most of the population/tourist demographic being elderly. The only minus I would mention is the fact that there are no tapas served at the bar, which I believe to be an essential in a pool-side hotel bar in a Spanish island and the fact there is no drinks/food service after hours. It was peaceful pleasant calm and the people were so friendly kind and happy . It was lovely to be able to watch the sun goinf down eating dinner . Found an amazing place looking out onto the sea and marina - was calm and very good for lone travellers never once felt afraid or alone . Perfect for couples or anyone who wants a calm break away from fast pace life - calming and tranquil to a fault ! This Hotel is just perfect, the food is lovely, lots of choice for breakfast and evening meal, good standard. Every member of staff is polite and cant do enough for you. In my opinion this hotel could easily be a four or five star establishment. Can Pastilla is a lovely resort, quiet and with a chilled vibe, and best of all its 10 mins from the airport! Popular places are a bit far from each-other however if you...
Popular places are a bit far from each-other however if you like to ride bicycles then you can rent an ordinary or electric bike. Be careful about rental companies, there are expensive and also cheap places that you can rent exactly the same bicycle with double/triple prices. Public transport is also easily possible. I also recommend to attend tours to the caves and to the mountains. If you are interested in wind surfing this beaches are exactly for you. P.S. Don’t forget to visit Europe’s biggest coral aquarium

It was great for a short city break in that it was just along from Palma and we could very easily get a bus in to the city. The area itself was great for walks along the beach and to sit in little cafes/restaurants and have coffee/lunch and soak up the sun and watch the sea and kite surfers etc. Yes it was close to the airport, but we never really heard the planes - I would definitely stay in the area again.5

And for 25 euros we could check out at 18.00 rather than 12 latest. This made it easy for us as our flight wasn't until 21 25. Also being adults only made it a more peaceful place to chill by the pool. Will definitely go back. Covid permitting. Really was close to the beach cross the road and you are on the beautiful beach.

But it takes around 40 minutes to the center of Palma by bus and about 10 minutes to the airport. Also the breakfast and dinner buffet was not expensive and had many different great choices. One of us had a birthday and we had a nice surprise with champagne, which was very pleasent for us.

You can go to Palma Aquarium by foot (15 minutes) and to Aqualand by scooter or bike (there are multiple businesses to rent a bike/car/scooter/etc near the hotel) The staff was great too. They know how to treat guests. The check-in and check-out went smooth.
