Location was good for us. But for those with mobility concerns it is on the valley side so slopes and steps to get to town.

Holmfirth Hideaway had everything we needed in a self-catering accommodation. Beautifully furnished, modern bathroom and well equipped kitchen. The garden was well planned, and the views were amazing.

A great example of a northern mill town but not the main reason for visiting this picturesque Yorkshire town.
Famed for the BBC show "Last of the Summer Wine", it's a mecca for anyone who's funny bone has been tickled by this warm comedy from the 70's through to the early part of the 2000's.
Modern hostelries abound, some great exhibitions, cafes and pubs used extensively in the TV series all combined with the beauty of the Yorkshire landscape featured throughout the escapades of the characters of the show.
We'll be back in the summer to further explore the scenic beauty and further enjoy the views these three old men brought to life on our TV screens.

Holmfirth is a great place to visit.
Holmfirth is a great place to visit. Home of “Last of the summer wine” of course but also a great venue to visit is The Picturedrome for a Northern Soul music gig which was fantastic. Some lovely bars and eateries plus some quirky shops as well. Defo a place to visit for the weekend.

Fantastic variety of independent pubs, restaurants and cafes...
Fantastic variety of independent pubs, restaurants and cafes, for both day and night. Most places are dog friendly. Holmfirth does not just feel like a tourist town, but a genuinely welcoming, thriving town for all and the neighbouring villages and country pubs are well worth exploring. P
Made to feel very welcome, lovely personalised welcome card and bottle of wine. Lovely clean property with all you need to get by (iron, hairdryer, netflix, prime, sky movies, sports) Brilliant location, a stones throw from Holmfirth centre. Felt immediately comfortable on arrival and throughout my stay. Love the layout, white marble effect floor tiles, kitchen island and you can watch tv from settee or bed, cleverly organised. A lovely little parking space at front.Would definitely go again.
Everything at the PP has been carefully thought through, creating a stylish but comfortable and welcoming environment. Chic super comfortable room/ensuite. Quality tea with the offer of - oh bliss! - fresh milk. Everything is fresh looking and inviting without a hint of being too well used, as found in many hotels incl the high end ones.
We didn't eat there but wished we had as menu looks great.
Stayed here a couple of times. The rooms are nice and clean with all the facilities we need. Staff are helpful and friendly. The hot water was not working in the room when we arrived so we reported it to the staff and it was dealt with very quickly so it wasnt a problem. Property is in a great location being so close to the picturedrome. We will definitely stay here again.
The location of the hotel was 10/10, right in the centre of Holmfirth plus we managed to get a parking space right outside. All the staff that we encountered were friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. The breakfast was freshly prepared and there was a good choice of options- we chose the full English breakfast which was delicious and it was a very generous portion
Excellent stay for one night. Staff, food and Hotel is very good. Room very small and extremely hot. Food is excellent and reasonably priced as is the beverages. Clean staff with a very professional attitude, so very helpful nothing too much for trouble them. Good central place to stay.
The Hotel was excellent - clean; the facilities were excellent and our room was spacious with really good facilities. All staff were friendly, professional & very proficient & food was always tasty with a varied choice. Would strongly recommend the hotel and would stay again.
Great find right in the heart of Holmfirth. All the basics you need for a lovely relaxing weekend. Great price with a good cooked breakfast included. Only issue was no hot water for a shower but we were informed there had been a boiler issue. We will return.
Very clean and cosy with a quirky feel. Has a beautiful view. The location was perfect, only a 15 minute walk into Holmfirth town. Thank you to Kate for being an amazing host. And thank you for your recommendations, you made us feel so welcome on arrival.

The stay was ideal for a brief trip to Holmfirth. It was a two mile walk in which we enjoyed. We didn’t meet the owner but the instructions to park and access the property were very detailed so not an issue.
