Breakfast was excellent although the cups for tea were very small, difficult to handle, and did not keep the tea warm for very long. The choice at breakfast was the best we have seen and well laid out with prompt service.

It was a very nice apartment on two floors. Steep stairs up to both floors but apart from that very nice indeed and would highly recommend. We were visiting my sister who lives up the street from the Bakehouse so the recommendations below are not applicable as it was Christmas and all was closed.

A lovely little area with some amenities round about.
A lovely little area with some amenities round about. From our hotel in Roxburgh it took 5 minutes in a taxi to the town square. The town itself has everything you need Greg’s, chemist, co-op, coffee shops, antique stores, few pubs. So you can definitely spend a few hours toddling about.
There is also a castle about another 2/3 minutes drive by. But do check the website for seasonal opening times.
For great wholesome food I’d definitely recommended cobbles inn. You’ll probably have to book a table so be prepared, it’s a busy little place.

Very helpful friendly staff. Extremely clean hotel in all areas. Huge comfy bed. Great location. Lovely food I recommend the trout for your evening meal , the cheese board was great and again so much they kept it fir me to collect the next day. Breakfast was huge. Beware if you pick the full Scottish breakfast. I could not finish it all. Would highly recommend this hotel for visitors to Kelso.
Graham was a very welcoming, friendly and attentive host. Bellevue Guest House is conveniently situated just a short stroll away from Kelso town centre. There is private parking behind the house. The rooms were very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The breakfast was outstanding, using local produce, and by far the best I've ever had. We can't wait to go back again.
Everything - it was fab! A relaxing weekend in a quiet and private bothy within a working farm. A real home from home located in the countryside but 5 mins drive to Kelso town. Ideal as a base for touring the borders or just walking, reading, eating and relaxing in the hot tub whatever the weather.
The hotel was lovely on the main square and the room was very clean and comfortable.
The staff were all really helpful and the breakfast exceptional. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner of fish and chips in the restaurant and there was really nothing we could fault.
The location can't be beat, and the apartment is more spacious than I had pictured. My 9-year old and I stayed and found the apartment to be perfectly equipped with an oven, toaster, stove/hob, washer, fridge, and freezer. The hosts were fantastic and responsive.
Everything you’d need and in the perfect location for touring the area. Hosts were lovely and the cooked breakfast was perfect! Off road parking available at the property and very short walk into Kelso market square, with plenty of places to shop, eat & drink.
We loved staying here last year so decided it would be the place for us for a two day trip. The hotel is lovely and located by the river which is perfect . The room was clean comfortable and we had a lovely view of the grounds
This was our second visit to Castle Nook, and once again we could find no fault with the property. It is handy for the centre of Kelso, there is parking close by, the property was clean and well looked after.
Great size and location. Really useful kitchen area that was well stocked with good appliances.
Bed linen and towels clean and comfy.

Amazing hotel, food and staff, made us feel very welcome. This hotel claims to be "dog friendly" but it is so much more and the dog was treated as a guest too.
