The location in the middle of the countryside was stunning. When we arrived the owner had made us scones! She had also left tea bags and milk. There was a bathroom attached to the bedroom. In the kitchen there was a stove, toaster, and kettle. Outside there’s one gas and one manual BBQ, as well as a fire pit for relaxing in the evenings! In the communal kitchen there were board games and brochures for visiting the local area. Everything was eco friendly, with separate bins for recyclables and compost.

Mallow a good place to base yourself if doing a touring...
Mallow a good place to base yourself if doing a touring holiday in Co.Cork. Train station gives good access to Cork city. Blarney Castle only 20minutes away by road . Also a short road trip to Charville. Mallow Town Park is a hidden gem, well worth spending time exploring it!

I didn't have too much time to see around Mallow on this very short visit. I had lunch at the hotel one day and breakfast the next morning. For my evening meal I visited my neice and her family in Ballyclough.

Small not a lot to do but has 1 amazing restaurant Park 83 fantastic food, value for money, service, ambiance, attention to detail & attitude. Very friendly & can’t do enough for you. Places like this are few & far between in Ireland!

We had been put in a smaller double room the first night. I mentioned it to the front desk the next morning. They apologozed and moved us to a larger room with a street view as I had originally requested. They stated that on the first noght the hotel was very busy and that is why we unfortuately gave us a smaller room . The facilities were great and centrally located as the only hotel in town.
