Hôtel Fenua Mata'i'oa, hotel in Haapiti

Set within a unique tropical garden beside the lagoon, Hôtel Fenua Mata'i'oa features a bar and an on site restaurant. Guests at this waterfront property can relax in the outdoor hot tub.

Love the private patio overlooking the lagoon. You can see sunset and sunrises from the patio. You can see fishes right in the water. We also saw stingray. There's no restaurant at the bungalow, but you can order food from front desk. There's a common bar area and common game room if you don't want to stay in your room. The decoration is very spa like with in-door pond. There's a market and food places within walking distance from the bungalow. Tour will come pick-up from this location.

Great new hotel, on an excellent beach, and very close to several lively shops and restaurants. They have kayaks and life vests for exploring the lagoon. Rooms were very clean and fresh (being brand new), with good fridge, dishwasher, etc. Nice outdoor table for meals.

Hotel Hibiscus, hotel in Haapiti

Featuring an outdoor pool and beachfront restaurant, the tropical huts at Hotel Hibiscus are only steps from sandy white beaches. Kayak rental is available at the restaurant.

The hotel and staff were great. So let's make this all about the beach. There's little snorkeling off this beach. Very few coral heads, no reef, and little sea life. I saw a few very small fish, two slugs, and one moray eel. The "white sand" was really brokendown coral, bleached and dead, and brokendown shells. The beach went swimmingly, every pun intended, once I put away the mask and snorkel and wore sea shoes getting into the water. The water was usually crystal clear in the mornings, not so much in the late afternoons after the boats started coming in.

The scenery was spectacular. The people were very friendly.

The scenery was spectacular. The people were very friendly. The beach was excellent. It was great to be able to lay under a palm tree for shade. A car is strongly recommend. It is easy to drive around the island, the roads are perfect. The island is very quiet, except for the roosters which add a fabulous authenticity to the island experience.

The NW corner of Moorea has some of the most beautiful water...

The NW corner of Moorea has some of the most beautiful water, is close to most excursions, and has one of the bigger shopping/restaurant areas. If there was a drawback, the forever knee deep shallow water is great for little kids, but not the best for snorkeling for adults, unless you cross over to the shark/ray area or the smaller islands by boat/kayak. Also, the current is a bit strong for kayakjing.

Everything and everyone is happy on Mo’orea!

Everything and everyone is happy on Mo’orea! It is easy to get there by ferry, but we should have gotten a car-the taxi is expensive (everywhere here in FP) and all the locals say the bus is unreliable-but as long as you don’t need to commute anywhere, it is a beautiful, beautiful place to relax and unwind!

The area was very picturesque and well located.

The area was very picturesque and well located. Many activities to do from this area, weather was perfect, not too humid or hot as I thought it would be. The Tahitian people are extremely helpful, caring and happy. Easy to get around the Island as well.
