Getting to the hotel is a tad challenging but the views along they way make it so worth it! The hotel reception and check-in was good, the rooms big and comfortable. The one senior looking barman was amazing. He saved the day for us.

We are very grateful for the warm welcome and willingness to help on any issue, for the opportunity to touch history. We had a wonderful time in this wonderful house, which you put so much effort and money into restoring. We walked through the garden with great pleasure, admiring the various flowers and fruits, and relaxed by the pool. Thanks a lot!

This is a nice villa with a swimming pool, a magnificent view on the river and the surrounding hills, It has four rooms with a shared kitchen, living room and other facilities. It was recently innovated.
Beautiful place by the Douro river. But it is a bit far from other attractions and villages. Also no supermarket or restaurants nearby. You have to take the train or car to get there. But if you want a special experience in the beautiful Douro valley, this is the place.

We went to Baião because we wanted to visit Eça de Queirós Foundation. It fulfilled our expectations. There is a restaurant there so it is possible to enjoy the afternoon at the Foundation.
There are also preserved villages to be visited and, of course, the Douro!

We stayed in Baiao because it was central to Lamego, Douro River Valley, Peneda Geres National Park, Braga, Guimares and Amarante. It's best to take the main road to Amarante first, if you are in a hurry, and then go to your destination.

The Quinta das Quintas staff are very friendly and eager to please, the location overlooking the Douro River, peacefulness, option of home cooked meals, great pool, proximity to a walk along the river, interacting with animals on the property - and the view was simply amazing and the locally sourced and prepared food was delicious!
Our family of four stayed in the apartment with two bedrooms and a sofa bed; and my only critique was the sofa bed should be replaced for a more comfortable bed/mattress given the price we paid for this stay. Everything else about our stay was marvellous, and we would come back!
The hostess ware charming, they give a feeling of home, a well-equipped place, a clean pool and an amazing garden, a spectacularly beautiful view, a clean, cozy and luxurious room. We arrived and it was cool and the hosts arranged a warm and cozy wood fireplace for us. It is recommended to come with a family or several people. We prepared dinner in the fully equipped kitchen because in the area things are mostly meat restaurants, the breakfast is indulgent and fun. A really enjoyable and fun experience.
The hotel is amazing
The views are breathtaking, you basically wake up and see Douro valley right from your bed.
They have Chefs restaurant in the hotel. Food there is very delicious, starters, main dishes and deserts. We tried a lot there and every dish was great.
Also hotel has its own farm with various herbs, fruits and vegetables, that are used then in the restaurant.
They also have very clean and relaxing SPA, which is free for hotel guests.
Very comfortable, large suite overlooking pool and the Douro Valey. Super clean, all interior and equipment in perfect condition. Great hosts Miguel and Mimi, looking after everything and always ready to indulge you, before you even think you might want to enjoy something, like a glass of rose with strawberries :) Breakfast was tasty and rich in fresh, local products. Nice restaurant nearby with traditional food from Baião area.
This hotel proportionate an excellent experience for people looking to relax. The food in the restaurant Eça was super tasty and the menu is not expensive for the service they offer (we paid 60Eur for two people). I enjoyed being able to spend some time in the outdoor pool and then go to the indoor pool, sauna and steam bath! There is also a pool table. The view from the rooms is also amazing!
The staff surprised us with cake and a bottle of wine on our arrival (it was my husband's bday). Beautiful hotel, spectacular views, great food, friendly staff, a chef's garden, vineyard and relaxing pools and spa. We enjoyed our time relaxing. What a wonderful treat after walking the camino portugese. The sommelier, Ferminio, was so friendly and kind. We will recommend to friends and family.
Amazing and strong view of Douro River. Peaceful place. Fantastic 2 floor villa. Much better, with prettier instalations, more confortable and much more beautiful than the photographs we saw. The team was very kind. Nice breakfast served at the Villa. The experience exceed all the expectations we could have. The best shower we tried. And the cooler balance toy of our lifes. Wishing back soon.
Amazing place with great view over Douro. August price was normal high but in the end it was a very nice experience. Staff was very good. The breakfast was great. The pool area is very cool and relaxing with good view over the river and mount.
A great place to stay and a lovely family run hotel. We were made to feel wonderfully welcome by the owners. Very comfortable and clean and a fantastic breakfast. The Aircon was a great relief in the heat and the pool too. Highly recommended.
