This time, we stayed in a fabulous, recently refurbished room, above the main hotel reception desk in the main building. Everyhing was fine.

The staff were very attentive and helpful, the hotel is ideal for visiting most of south Yorkshire. it is near the M1 and also the main road over the Pennines to Manchester. It is clean and the room well stocked. The meals are excellent.

The manager Jeffrey was very helpful and accommodating! He made us feel at home and made sure that we had a comfortable stay. Other staff were also friendly and helpful. Good hearty breakfast, good water pressure and nice warm rooms. Location was great as well, walkable to shops and attractions. Overall, stay definitely exceeded expectations. :)

This places is a hidden gem a listed building nothing is modern which i like so what if the paint is pealing of the wall of there is chips on the does it has so much more character and charm and the front desk manager was delightful he gave us a tour of the place and also a background on the history of the hotel
