More Than Just a London Suburb
Ilford benefits from a train station on the fast line between Liverpool Street and Shenfield. Since Stratford, site of the Olympic Park, is only a few stations away, Ilford rose in international popularity during the build-up to the 2012 Games. However, location isn't all it has going for it.
The Borough of Redbridge is run from its Grade II-listed Victorian town hall, on a pedestrian precinct which includes the Ilford Exchange shopping centre. To the west is another Grade II-listed building: the 12th-century Hospital Chapel of St Mary and St Thomas of Canterbury.
The UK’s only complete mammoth skull was found underneath the high street and is now displayed in London’s Natural History Museum. Redbridge Museum houses more archaeological finds, and the 17th-century Valentines Mansion features a Victorian kitchen and beautiful gardens.
Actually outside of the capital when built, the mansion is now firmly within Greater London and is surrounded by Valentines Park with its boating lake and cricket pitch where Essex County once played.
The diverse cuisine of Ilford’s restaurants reflects its multicultural population, and there are also several good bars and a club near Gants Hill Tube station that is popular with reality TV stars. Nearby Ilford accommodation on Booking.com includes hotels with parking and cheap guest houses.

As a black person I felt comfortable among the Asian population and I saw other persons of color as well. The town is lively and friendly. The Turkish food was a blast. The shopping center has almost everything. For black women, there's a hair shop in the main shopping area. The prices are reasonable for London

They work very hard!.

Close to a wetherspoons pub for dinner.
I have been using Booking.com services for many years and this hotel fell too low regarding standards; moreover in a city like London. The staff lacked simple etiquette. Toilets were dirty, Rat infested property. The owner ran the facility alone, so poor management. Upon checking out, I could not get my £10 refundable deposit, because the owner was away and there was no cash, though I was made to pay the same by cash only when I did (no card payment allowed).
The host Mrs. Jackie is the best you can ever ask for. She is so welcoming and always there to help. She even went the extra mile and sent us the directions to places we wanted to visit. The hotel is very clean, comfortable and close to the underground station. If you love dogs they have the cutest dog named Loki who was very adorable and cuddly. Overall, loved the place and would easily recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in London.
I booked this place last minute as I couldn't find a more affordable option closer to central London. It was good value for money and was better than other hotels I have booked for similar prices in the last 6 months near central london. The staff was very professional. The room was spacious, as well as the private toilet. I'm glad I booked this hotel.
The room was a bit small, but had all the facilities that were listed in the booking. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and tidy, if a bit on the small side also.
The hotel itself is only a 5 minute walk to Ilford high street, which has a wide variety of places to eat and get a drink.
Bed was VERY comfortable.
Location is perfect for getting into Stratford, Central London, O2 etc as underground over the road.
Staff were very friendly.
Car parking reasonable and a huge plus to me.
Tea/Coffee welcome
Netflix availabke for free.
WiFi hood.
The room was very nice, comfortable, clean, it has everything you want.
Nice neighborhood with shops, market, close to Ilford station.
We didn't stayed much in the room, just for sleep, we left in the morning exploring London and we came back late at night 🙂
The hotel was in a nice neighbourhood and the rooms were cosy, staff were exceptional and quite immediately obliged my request for the rooms in upper floors. Overall a good stay and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Ilford, London.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff/manager was amazing and very kind person and always helpful. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting
Everything was new and clean staff were easy going and helpful room was lovely and big.
Well organised hotel was staying in another hotel in ilford before this one was way better would definitely recommend and come again
Staffs sre friendly. It is clean but in the room some essential facilities need to fix. Like hanger, closet, electric points, sleepers, water glass etc. Hotel authority frequently changes (increases) the room rates.
It's situated at a 10 mins walking distance from the Ilford train station and a 15-20 mins train ride from London's Liverpool station. In general, the place is clean (except for some stains on the sofa).
Have stayed at this hotel when it was Premier Inn. Location is convenient as next to tube station and has car park. Outside Central London so cheeper. Clean and has friendly and helpful staff
There was a breakfast included. The hotel has competitive prices in London. Room was clean. It was quite easy to find the hotel. Quite close to train station.
Good location of hotel, receptionist was polite, very helpful, room looked clean. Ok for price and london. Breakfast good, lady was very kind and attentive.
