I sadly didn’t get my welcome letter from host until 2 days after arrival. When I arrived I had no lock box code. I tried phoning hosts but no answer. Luckily cleaner arrived just after 3pm. I had to leave whilst she cleaned room & then on my return she gave me code. Weirdly the welcome mail was for different cabin & different code. They should give their cleaner a raise.

Orewa is easy to find and has excellent choice for food - the whole area is well laid out and in a wonderful setting of mature trees, parks, walkways, convenient access to beach and parking. The shops are interesting and locals friendly. Just feels like a peaceful easy place to be.

A friendly small town but packed full of different cafes and restaurants.
I know it can get very busy during the peak summer months but late summer seems to be a good time to visit. Busy but not crowded.

The beach was within walking distance and it was a nice sandy very clean beach. There was plenty of free parking for people travelling or those living further away.
You have everything you need all in walking distance, so no need for a car if you are staying locally.
There are plenty of good restaurants and cafes.
Most properties had a sea view, and if you are staying in one of the hotels you will see an amazing sunset.

Orewa is amazing. We used to live nearby.
Orewa is amazing. We used to live nearby. Absolutely a place to stay for any age. Now there's lots of pavement dining and great restaurants and bars. The beach is stunning. Lots of locals and visitors walk up and down the beach. Great for dog-walking, but be aware of when you keep your dog on a lead.
We were so pleased! The condo was spacious and perfect for my family of three...we all had our own rooms with en-suite bathrooms. The full kitchen was perfect for cooking at home. It's located just across from Orewa beach and a block from the restaurants and grocery stores. There were boogie boards, washer/dryer, wifi...really it had everything and it is perfect for a larger family or even two families as it has two living room areas with large TV. We were just so happy with the accommodations and hope to stay again!
They have a room that should have been store rooms not rooms to lease' just because there is a window that doesn't mean you should make money from it.
Plastic seats should not be used for paying customers, very uncomfortable small room, you could hear every movement from people upstairs, the only positive thing,a refund was given for the 2nd day and l left the property to another hotel. Picked this place because of the reviews, l hate being ripped off.
Everything, this place is really perfect. Outside of Auckland so the journey to the beaches of the north is quite a bit shorter so great. But also the experience was really cool. Great solution at a really perfect price. I had never slept in a roulotte and I really enjoyed it! Super comfortable bed and spacious living space. Also the breakfast is a great and highly appreciated service. Would absolutely recommend!
Basic budget accommodation. Spacious, very clean , comfortable and convenient for our stay. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds are comfortable and clean. Bathrooms clean with ample soft towels and soap and shampoo.
Dereck and Katrina were absolutely amazing hosts.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Always super helpful , friendly and welcoming.
Keep an eye out for Marley and give her my love x
I really liked how it was pretty much in the middle of Orewa where all of the stores were and it was literally a 5 minute walk to the beach! It also had access to extra curricular items in the cabins at the back which I thought was really cool and the whole house was very spacious and even the extra extra large TV! Felt like we were in the cinemas. Loved every part of it
The unit was lovely with everything you need for a short stay. I was extremely impressed with how clean it was. The host was lovely and even brought us some bug spray, fresh milk in fridge and teas and coffees. It is so conveniently situated 2 mins away from main Orewa beach and multiple restaurants and cafes as well as the New World. Would recommend to anyone!!
Quiet location - North Shore and short drive to Orewa. Real resort feeling: singing birds, beautiful flowers, hotel surrounded by gorgeous trees. Room with 2 queen beds was spacious and beautiful view to golf course was added bonus. Complimentary tea/coffee, microwave oven. Play golf if you have time, clubs are available for hire
We've stayed here several times now, and it's been excellent every time! The decor of the rooms are quite different and unique, but ALL perfectly clean and lovely vibe. We only stay here when we go to Orewa now, because it's become our favourite! Great place, great location. Can't wait to go back!
How lucky we are that our return to traveling starts with the Edgewater. We used public transport. Just a 10 min walk from the Orewa shops. Beautiful beach for strolling. Warm beds and a complete kitchen topped off a pleasant stay.
The property offered both morning and afternoon outdoor seating areas. Although it was on the main highway in Orewa, it was almost completely soundproof. It was only a two-minute walk around the corner to the beach.
Perfect relaxing location. The pond with the ducks and swans were a joy to see while eating brekky in the conservatory. You wouldn't think you were in Auckland staying there its so peaceful.
The room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely spa bath and kitchenette. Location near to the beach was great. We enjoyed the use of the free wi-fi as well as Sparksport & Netflix.
