Hi, The communication from the hosts through out this weekend and the build up was great. The location is fantastic for days out in the surrounding areas. The cottage it self was bang on. Everything.... the location, the staff, the FOOD, fantastic evening meal and brilliant breakfast. My daughter and I felt very spoilt. Very knowledgeable about the local area. The location was ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Lake District, with easy access to roads, trails and lakes. Tarn Hows was close by and simply quintessentially English countryside at its best! What truly set this B&B apart was the genuine care and hospitality of the hosts. Set in an acre of gardens, in the picturesque village of Grasmere, Lake View Country House is located in the heart of the Lake District, in a recently-renovated period property with original features.... The cottage is beautiful, very tastfully equiped, very clean. The landlord Richard was extremely nice and helpful!

Located in the heart of the Lake District and just 5 minutes' drive from Ambleside, Foxghyll Country House offers free WiFi access and free on-site parking. the owner was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast menu has lots of selection to choose and delicious. room and bathroom were clean.

With a beautiful riverside location, Rydal Lodge Hotel offers elegant Lake District accommodation, 2 miles from the centre of Ambleside. The place felt very homely, beautiful and located close to Mount Rydal. Breakfast service is amazing. Mark and Helena are excellent hosts. Highly recommended!

Ees Wyke Country House is an elegant Georgian property in the Lake District, less than 3 miles from the town of Hawkshead. We were immediately welcomed and given a tour of the beautiful building, including the garden and the two lounges. Everywhere was kept toasty thanks to the fire places, and there were lots of books and board games available to pass the time. Our room was spacious, clean and kept supplied with lush hot chocolate, tea, etc. We had a fantastic view of the lake too. The staff were absolutely wonderful and couldn't be more helpful. Had a lovely chat with Ed one day, then Angela the next! The food was fantastic, I would highly recommend grabbing at least one dinner there, and definitely go down for breakfast every day. Wonderful selection, and exceedingly tasty. Incredibly cooked by the owner and solo chef, Richard!

Amidst the scenery of the Lake District, this family-run bed and breakfast provides rooms with free Wi-Fi and views of the fells. Having a friendly host with great advice for the local area was much appreciated. We really enjoyed the walk to the water fall. We really enjoyed the lovely breakfast that you served up. Cheers Phil
